Product processing

The leather used in all variants of Aurlands has a thickness of 2.0 - 2.4 mm. The shoe should therefore be a little tight as new to achieve the best fit, as the shoe will adapt to the foot during use.

If the leather should get wet, it is important to let the leather dry at room temperature. If it is dried at too high a temperature, there is a risk that the skin will contract, and may then become dry and stiff. For chrome leather, we recommend Aurland's own leather grease, which is color-neutral and risk-free for shoe maintenance.

Clean the product with a damp, soft cotton cloth and allow it to dry at room temperature. Then apply a thin layer of leather grease with a soft cotton cloth, shoe brush or by hand directly. Let the leather grease soak into the leather for a couple of hours before finally wiping off any excess leather grease.

Maintenance of products in smooth leather

Maintenance of products in nubuck

In order for nubuck leather to stay soft and nice, we recommend that it is treated regularly with impregnation spray that is adapted for nubuck leather.

We recommend using «Aquastop» from the Gala. Clean the product with one shoe brush with brass bust adapted for nubuck. This removes dust and dirt. Be careful with the shoe brush in the seams. Then spray with impregnation spray and let it dry.
